It depends on the inspector. As I recall Scott Laughlin got a guy from the
FAA who was very unhappy with Scott's italic font. You could probably quote
from the regs but it isn't an argument I'd like to have on inspection day.

I'm thinking about ordering vinyl N-Numbers from here
http://www.custom-vinyl-lettering.net/ and would like to have a little
fancier font for the lettering. I've read through the Far's 45.2x and don't
see anything prohibiting using other fonts.
Does anyone have any experience is using different fonts for N-Numbers and
would the attached style be a problem during inspection?
