I hope it is what you think it is!  My original 2" fill hose was not leaking but
where the fuel pooled in the elbow it had degraded and was near failure, now
have the aluminum elbow from a thoughtful Tim Ward ( Thanks Tim ).

The red strip rubber fill hose is actually fine if you replace it when it degrades.

If my fuel tank actually had a crack I would have used the Tech-Bond Solutions
PTFE repair patch along with the mod - 8 tank inspection panel, allowing access
to the internal space in the tank for inspection/repair.  They claim the PTFE
patch is resistant to all fuels and will last for ever. They take phone calls
and support was good.

The other choice's plastic welding like Dave Disney did, or a tank replacement.
