To go into known weather you have to have onboard radar or lighting dection
. Sometime weather on xm doesn't show up as you need or is 15 min. late
I have portable xm on my 496 soon to be 696 I hope.Depending on the CFO and
what she says. I use it among different aircraft I fly.
I have flown with stormscopes for years.
