Does anyone have any experience with capacitance fuel sensors? My 2001 GlaStar has them (from a company called Centroid) and they don't seem to be working right. I'm not sure if there's any troubleshooting I can do or if just replacing them is the right option. They're supposed to put out 0 (empty) to 5 (full) volts but one of them seems to be stuck at 4.75 volts. The other fluctuates around semi-randomly so the gauge will read 1/4 then full then 1/2 and so forth. If replacement becomes the only option this new system from Belite caught my eye: http://www.beliteaircraftstore.com/capacitance-fuel-probes/ Any thoughts on that? --Rick

I seem to recall that CB's are generally used to protect the wire, not whatever the load is. Figure out what gage wire is used for the power supply and size the CB accordingly. Some items may specify a certain size CB and that would override the wire size dictum. Dave Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=454990#454990

Consider using fuses. Here is a thread about fuse blocks: http://www.vansairforce.com/community/showthread.php?t=135745 Waytek fuse block: http://tinyurl.com/h3ezat2 -------- Joe Gores Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=455002#455002

On the GNS 650, for 14V systems Garmin's install manual specifies two breake rs. One 10A breaker for the Com connector and one 7.5A breaker which powers b oth the Nav and Main connectors. Your current draw values are correct for the 650.
