Actually my concern is the high amperage in the fuel pumps and the digital lanes wires. All those electrons flowing to and from the panel just to keep the engine running, considering the avionics in the vicinity... Maybe relays or contactors for the 20 amp circuits... Those injection engines are a bit complicated to manage : 5 switches to fumble with in addition to the regular master and starter switches just to start the engine. Lots of thinking to simplify the task of the pilot and avoid forgetting something or manoeuvring the switches in the wrong sequence... Thank you for your attention, and please keep giving advices, this is a great help ! -- Best regards, Gilles http://contrails.free.fr http://lapierre.skunkworks.free.fr

Hello, I am trying to install a King KY 197 radio in an aircraft.=C2- I have the installation instructions.=C2- The diagrams for making the connection ha rness show that shielded single-conductor cables should be used to connect the audio jacks to the radio, and that the shield for each cable should be connected to the "barrel" of the associated=C2-jack on one end and to a p articular radio terminal on the other end.=C2- It seems logical to me tha t it would also be required to insulate the jack barrel from the panel it i s mounted in, but I can find no instructions for this.=C2- Can anyone tel l me if this is required? Is there a down-loadable copy of the installation manual for your system? The REAL concerns have little to do with switch ratings, wire sizes or breakers/fuses. The elegant solution considers failure modes (including risk of pilot error) . . . this is a system integration issue . . . a skill seldom demonstrated by folks who manufacture and market airplane parts. After FMEA is done, you NEED to know the ENERGY requirements for each accessory and anticipate the combinations in which those accessories are needed after loss of a single accessory for any reason. This is called LOAD ANALYSIS and it sets the sizes of alternators, batteries, circuit protection, wires, and yes . . . switches. Switches are last on the list of concerns. Many individuals in the OBAM aviation community get wrapped around the axles of AC vs. DC ratings, slow vs. fast break mechanisms, etc. etc. The underlying motivation being "nothing is too good for my airplane . . . and after all . . . it IS an airplane . . . everybody knows that things breaking on airplanes comes with risks for spiraling out of the sky trailing smoke." The realities are not nearly so exciting. See http://tinyurl.com/jfr8zzu The bottom line demonstrates that IF your FMEA is artfully conducted and IF your energy budgets are KNOWN and MAINTAINED, likelihood of an electrically induced bad day in the cockpit is vanishingly low. Let's pray over the manufacture's data a bit to see if there's enough data to move your deliberations forward with confidence. I tried to follow this approach of system integration, and after some hard thinking we had a 2-day meeting with my partners playing the "what if" game and establishing the corresponding load analysis. Thanks Bob B for the link. I would also suggest downloading the Operator's Manual to have a look at the starting and holding point sequences. Seems akin to rigging a nuclear sub for dive... Many opportunities to forget something or doing the wrong manoeuver. I have some ideas for combining some functions and rendering pilot error less likely, though it implies more complexity than the rudimentary circuit proposed by Rotax (with some errors in their schematics). I would add that the Aeroelectric community is a tremendous help. Peer review and critique of ideas or architectures are invaluable. Please Bob and everyone, keep up the good job ! And BTW our two battery, Rotax 914 four-seater is still going strong after 12 years ! Thank you, -- Best regards, Gilles http://contrails.free.fr http://lapierre.skunkworks.free.fr

I'm making some progress on this. The VPX guys say use a 10K linear pot. I've determined that with the appropriate timing gear that I'll be getting 3/4 of a revolution total. Which means I don't need a multi-turn pot. And I just happen to have a 10k pot in the drawer (Alpha 813 B10K). And it's got a 1.75" shaft (which is very important since that bulkhead is rather thick). But I can't tell if it's linear or audio taper. At 50% of travel, I'm getting about 6K ohms. IIRC, if it's an audio taper 10k pot, at 50% of travel, I would be seeing about 3k. Does anyone know if this particular pot is linear or audio taper? Most audio pots aren't really logarithmic, they're a two or three straight line approximation. The 25% and 75% travel resistances should enable a better determination, but the B in the code usually means linear taper. I'd most definitely use a dedicated servo pot, cheap panel pots wear horribly and lose contact; not much of a deal if your old amp volume knob goes a bit crackly, but probably not helpful in your application. KAPOLEI, Hawaii - Tom Pernice Jr. Wholesale NFL Jerseys China (http://www.chinajerseysnfls.com/) . birdied his final four holes for a 12-under 60 and a four-stroke lead Friday in the Champions Tours Hawaii Championship.Thats awesome to shoot 12-under 60, Pernice said. I just want to have another good day tomorrow.Pernice finished a stroke off the tour record of 59 set by Kevin Sutherland last month in the Dicks Sporting Goods Open in Endicott, New York.Davis Love III opened with a 69 in his Champions Tour debut. The 20-time PGA Tour winner turned 50 in April.Pernice played his final nine holes a the front nine at Kapolei Golf Club a in 7-under 29, also birdieing Nos. 1, 2 and 4. He had five birdies on his opening nine.On the last four holes, he hit wedge to 6 feet on the par-4 sixth, a lob wedge to 10 feet on the par-5 seventh, chipped in from 25 feet on the par-3 eighth, and hit a lob wedge to a foot on the par-4 ninth.I hit the ball really good in the pro-am yesterday and hit good shots on the range this week and had good practice sessions, Pernice said. The greens are really good. I putted well today. The 55-year-old Pernice tied the tour record for birdies with 12. Walter Morgan set the mark in the 2002 AT&T Canada Senior Open, Fred Couples matched it at the 2011 AT&T Championship and Sutherland accomplished the feat in his 59.A two-time winner on the PGA Tour winner, Pernice won the Principal Charity Classic in June in Iowa for his third Champions Tour title.Michael Allen was second after a 64. Hes fighting a cold.I got sick Tuesday night. Its not fun, Allen said. I putted well and, basically with a cold, I played one shot at a time. I rolled the ball beautifully today.Joey Sindelar and Scott Dunlap shot 65, and Jay Haas, Vijay Singh, Paul Goydos, Jim Carter and Mike Goodes followed at 66.Guy Boros and Skip Kendall also made their tour debuts. Toronto receiver Chad Owens will miss the Argonauts game in Ottawa on Friday with a left foot injury, and the team believes he will be out a minimum of three weeks. That leaves the Argos with very little veteran depth at receiver. Slotback Andre Durie is out with a broken clavicle and wide receiver Jason Barnes is sidelined with a knee injury. Owens was wearing a walking boot for the second straight day when he arrived at Tuesdays practice.dddddddddddd The good news for the Argos is that the injury will only require treatment and rest and Owens will not have to undergo surgery. In other injury-related news, receiver Jason Barnes could not get an MRI Monday but will have one Tuesday. Head coach Scott Milanovich said he expects Barnes to miss this weekends game. Subject: MALABO, Equatorial Guinea - Both the Ivory Coast and
    Camero
    From: "blueberryjerry" <blueberryjerry0822@hotmail.com>
MALABO, Equatorial Guinea - Both the Ivory Coast and Cameroon came into the day as big favourites at the African Cup of Nations, and both finished it happy just to avoid losing. Darren Woodson Jersey (http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/cowboys-darren-woodson-super-bowl-jersey-authentic/) .The Ivorians got a late equalizer from Seydou Doumbia shortly after Gervinho was sent off with a straight red card to earn a 1-1 draw with Guinea on Tuesday at Malabo Stadium.A short time later at the same venue, it was Cameroon that needed a late goal from Ambroise Oyongo to hold on for a 1-1 draw against Mali.We bounced back. Its a good point for us, said Ivory Coast captain Yaya Toure, who recently won his fourth African player of the year award. We have a couple of games coming, and I hope we will do well in them. The draws leave all four teams in Group D with one point. On Saturday, Ivory Coast will take on Mali and Cameroon will face Guinea.Gervinho had been Ivory Coasts best player, or least the one with the best chances, until a scuffle with Baissama Sankoh during an off-the-ball incident earned him a straight red in the 57th minute. With 10 men it was very hard, said Ivory Coast coach Herve Renard, who led Zambia to the African Cup title in 2012. I think the players did very well in the different organization (after the sending off).Doumbia, who came on in the 66th as the tactics changed, scored from in front of goal in the 72nd after a pass from Wilfried Bony. Toure was the one who started the play.Guinea had taken the lead in the 36th when Ibrahima Traore crossed to Mohamed Yattara.Traore then had a chance to double the lead in the 61st but his shot hit the crossbar. Were not happy, because we know we could win this game, Traore said. Were going to keep working hard. At the end we will win and we will qualify, because as I said we are not afraid of anyone. In the second match, Oyongo latched onto to a long pass from Raoul Loe in the 84th and beat Mali goalkeeper Soumaila Diakite in a fast-paced game that h! ad sever al missed chances at both ends.Sambou Yatabare had given Mali a surprising lead in the 71st, controling the ball with his chest and scoring from a tight angle after a free kick on the other side of the field. The manner we played this match, especially the second half, it was the manner to win the game, Cameroon coach Volker Finke said. The goal of Mali was a matter of concentration. The players were not concentrated.Cameroon, which conceded only one goal in qualifying, had chances earlier in the game but lacked quality finishing. One of the more entertaining moments came in the 57th minute when Cameroon forward Edgar Salli bounced the ball several times on his head to evade defenders but was eventually brought down just outside the box. Michael Irvin Super Bowl Jersey (http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/cowboys-michael-irvin-super-bowl-jersey-authentic/) . -- Kevin Harvick pulled away on a restart with 47 laps to go and ended Chase Elliotts two-race winning streak in NASCARs Nationwide Series with a dominating victory early Saturday at Richmond International Raceway. Louis, MO (SportsNetwork. http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/cowboys-jay-novacek-super-bowl-jersey-authentic/ (http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/cowboys-jay-novacek-super-bowl-jersey-authentic/) . "I wouldnt read anything into what happened Saturday at Torrey Pines," Woods said Tuesday after an 18-hole exhibition for past winners of the Dubai Desert Classic.New York, NY (SportsNetwork.com) - Despite missing 25 games, reigning MVP Kevin Durant was selected to the All-Star Game Thursday as a reserve, while Kings center DeMarcus Cousins and Trail Blazers point guard Damian Lillard were among the players snubbed. Durant, who was named MVP of the 2012 All-Star Game and will be appearing in it for the sixth straight time, has only played in 21 of Oklahoma Citys 46 games while dealing with foot and toe injuries. There are plenty of fami! liar fac es among the Western Conference reserves, including Durants teammate Russell Westbrook, Rockets MVP candidate and NBA scoring leader James Harden and Clippers point guard Chris Paul. Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson will be making his first appearance. Spurs big man and future Hall of Famer Tim Duncan will be making his 15th appearance in the All-Star Game, tying him with Kevin Garnett and Shaquille ONeal for third-most all-time. Portland power forward LaMarcus Aldridge, who has put off thumb surgery, rounds out the West roster. Harden is expected to move into the starting lineup in place of injured Lakers star Kobe Bryant, who is sidelined for the rest of the season after undergoing shoulder surgery. Lillard, Cousins and Grizzlies guard Mike Conley are among the potential replacemeents on the roster. Cowboys Super Bowl Jerseys (http://www.footballcowboysshop.us/). There were few, if any, surprises among the Eastern Conference reserves, with the conference-leading Hawks placing three players in the game for the first time since 1980. Point guard Jeff Teague made his first All-Star game, forward Paul Millsap his second and center Al Horford will represent the East for the third time. Miami will be well-represented as well, with veterans Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh earning their 11th and 10th consecutive trips, respectively. Clevelands Kyrie Irving and Chicagos Jimmy Butler round out the roster. Henrik Stenson remained on course to wrap up the Race to Dubai crown as Rory McIlroy endured a torrid opening day of the DP World Tour Championship in Dubai. Leaderboard DP World Tour Championship Stenson failed to make much happen on the greens at the Jumeirah Golf Estates as he ground out 16 pars, one birdie and a bogey in a workmanlike 72, while Lee Westwood set the early pace on six under after a superb 66. Lee Westwood leads the way after opening with a 66 Danny Willett, Stensons main threat in the race to be crowned European No 1, opened with an erratic 71 to edge one ahead of the Swede, but defending champion McIlroy is tied for 55th in the elite 60-player field following a 75 - his worst score in 29 rounds over the Earth Course. Westwood, still rattled after being denied a debut in next weeks World Cup of Golf, provided an excellent riposte as he played some of his best golf of the season on one of his favourite courses. Danny Willett and Henrik Stenson on the first tee The 43-year-old picked up an early birdie at the 583-yard second and added three in four holes around the turn before dropping his only shot of the day at the 12th.But the 2009 champion bounced back with birdies at the next two holes, and his assured putting earned him another at the 17th which took him into the outright lead ahead of Nicolas Colsaerts and Julien Quesne, who birdied four of the last five holes to vault up the leaderboard. Westwood carded seven birdies to hit the front on six under Sergio Garcia is a stroke further adrift after a bad mistake at the 16th cost him the outright lead having stormed to six under with three birdies in four holes from the eighth before he made only the second eagle of the first round at the 14th. Rory McIlroy fired his worst score in 29 rounds in the event He finally got a birdie putt to drop at the 14th and followed it with another at 15, but he undid that recovery work by blocking his second to 16 and finding the edge of the hazard, from where he needed two attempts to splash onto the green.McIlroy did at least finish on a positive note with a birdie at the last, but his very slim chances of retaining his European No 1 title effectively ended after 10 holes. Race to Dubai leader Henrik Stenson struggled to make much happen at the DP World Tour Championship, making just one birdie in a level-par 72 Stenson remains the man to beat despite being far from his best, and he admitted afterwards that average was a fair assessment of his opening 72 in which he parred the final 11 holes.Willett, who trails the Open champion by close to 300,000 points in the standings, got on a nice run after he hit back from an early bogey with three birdies in four holes before a tough back-nine 37 left him five behind Westwood. TURIN, Italy -- Ten-man Benfica returned to the Europa League final following a 0-0 draw at tournament-favourite Juventus on Thursday, advancing on 2-1 aggregate. NFL Wholesale Jerseys (http://www.nflwholesalejerseyslife.com/) . Juventus created numerous chances but either couldnt find the target or was denied by Benfica goalkeeper Jan Oblak, who had a standout performance. Even when Benfica was reduced to 10 men in the 67th minute as Argentine midfielder Enzo Perez picked up his second yellow card for a foul on Arturo Vidal, Jorge Jesus squad maintained its composure. "Were a squad that tries to defend to perfection, and we more than deserved to advance," Benfica defender Guilherme Siqueira said. Its the third time Benfica has reached the final, having been runner-up in 1983 and last year, when the Portuguese side was beaten by Chelsea. In the May 14 final back in Turin, Benfica will face Sevilla, which scored in added time of a 3-1 loss at Valencia to advance on the away goal rule. With Diego Maradona watching from the tribune, Juventus controlled for long periods and came close to scoring the lone goal it needed. Andrea Pirlo shot high eight minutes in and a bicycle-kick attempt from Carlos Tevez also went high in the 24th. In the 43rd, a header from defender Leonardo Bonucci went just wide following a free kick from Pirlo, and Tevez couldnt quite reach it at the far post. In first-half added time, Paul Pogba inspired another chance for Juventus, leading to a header from Vidal that beat Oblak, but defender Luisao cleared the danger off the line. A downpour accompanied by hail greeted the squads at the start of the second half, and Benfica came close with a shot from Rodrigo that sailed over the bar in the 50th. Pirlo found the target with a splendid free kick in the 62nd but Oblak made a leaping save in the top right corner. Juventus substitute Pablo Osvaldo thought he scored in the 81st but was ruled offside. There was a brief skirmish between the benches in the final minutes, resulting in red cards ! for Juve ntus forward Mirko Vucinic, who did not play, and Benfica forward Lazar Markovic, who had just exited and will now miss the final. Benfica actually ended with nine men, as defender Ezequiel Garay was carried off on a stretcher following a collision, and all three substitutions were used. The referee let the match continue for eight minutes of added time but even that wasnt enough for Juventus, which can console itself by clinching its third successive Serie A title with a win over Atalanta on Monday. MIAMI -- As soon as Chris Young connected on a deep fly ball to left field in the ninth inning, the New York Mets thought they had tied the game on a sacrifice fly. http://www.officialpackersteamgears.com/kyler-fackrell-jersey/ (http://www.officialpackersteamgears.com/kyler-fackrell-jersey/) . But they misjudged the strength of Marcell Ozunas arm. Ozuna threw out Kirk Nieuwenhuis at the plate to end the game to help the Miami Marlins beat the Mets 3-2 on Friday night. "Its pretty surprising. Hats off to Ozuna," Nieuwenhuis said. "He made a great throw. Theres no other way to put it." Even Ozuna thought the Mets had tied the game. "I didnt think I had a chance to get him out, but I was going to throw it no matter what," Ozuna said. Ozuna also threw out David Wright to end the eighth after the Mets cut the deficit to 3-2. "I cant remember seeing a game decided by two great throws from a left fielder and two great tags from the catcher to end the game," Marlins manager Mike Redmond said. "Thats pretty amazing." Henderson Alvarez (4-3) pitched 6 1-3 scoreless innings, allowing seven hits without a walk, and struck out five. In his past six starts, he is 2-0 with a 0.68 ERA, which leads the majors since May 22. "It was a good start for myself. All my pitches were working. Now its about keeping going forward," Alvarez said. Steve Cishek allowed a double to Nieuwenhuis to open the ninth, but earned his 17th save in 18 chances when Ozunas throw landed in catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchias glove for his fourth assist of the season. "He started at the Clevelander, so I didnt think he had a shot, but he started running in," Saltalamacchia said. "Once he got closer I knew he had a chance, but thats a tough throw, big moment like that. You tend to do too much. He made a perfect throw." Mets starter Daisuke Matsuzaka (3-1) allowed one run and six hits in 5 1-3 innings. He struck out four. "I felt good today, and just going off our last time off of Alvarez, I knew it was going to be a close game -- a one or two-run game --! so I kn ew I couldnt give up too many runs," Matsuzaka said. "One run ended up making a difference." Adeiny Hechavarria drove in two runs, and Saltalamacchia hit two doubles for the Marlins, who won their major league-best 17th one-run game of the season despite going 1 for 11 with runners in scoring position. "It was nice to win that one," Redmond said. "We needed to win that one." Six of the eight games between these clubs this season have been decided by one run New York had a two-game winning streak snapped. With the Mets trailing 3-0 in the eighth, Wright hit an RBI single off Kevin Gregg. Two batters later, with Mike Dunn pitching, pinch-hitter Eric Campbell singled to left field to make it 3-2. Wright was thrown out at the plate as he tried to score on the hit. "I got thrown out by about 10 feet, so it wasnt a real close play," Wright said, "but at the same time we kind of thought that he was blocking (the plate) and apparently they thought he wasnt." Mets manager Terry Collins challenged the play, taking up the argument that Wright was blocked from getting to the plate. "When you saw replays, his foot had pretty much that whole side blocked," Collins said. "The over-the-top view, I dont know. You dont ever get an explanation. All they say is the play stands. "You dont ever get an explanation or why they ruled it, and the umpires are as confused as anybody." Rafael Furcal led off of the game for the Marlins with a triple off the right-field fence and scored on a groundout by Hechavarria. It was Furcals first extra-base hit of the season in 30 at-bats and first leadoff triple since June 11, 2010, against the Angels when he played for the Dodgers. "I knew that was the only run I could give up the rest of my outing," Matsuzaka said. After Jake Marisnick stole second base in the seventh, he swiped third with Wright not in position to cover the bag. He then scored when catcher Anthony Reckers throw to third went into left field. "It surprised them a little bit that he took off there with a left-hand hitter," R! edmond s aid. "He was being aggressive and took advantage of a bad throw. That was a huge run for us." The Marlins extended their lead to 3-0 later in the inning when Wright attempted to bare-hand a grounder hit by Hechavarria, but the ball bounced past him, allowing Justin Bour to score. Wright was originally charged with an error, but it was later changed to a hit. NOTES: Mets SS Ruben Tejada took a base hit away from Casey McGehee in the eighth inning when he made a diving stop to his left, spun on the ground, and threw to first from his knees. ... Wright has a 10-game hitting streak at Marlins Park. ... Miami will send RHP Tom Koehler (5-5, 3.84) to the mound on Saturday. New York will counter with RHP Jacob deGrom (0-4, 4.39). http://www.officialpackersteamgears.com/jacob-schum-jersey/ (http://www.officialpackersteamgears.com/jacob-schum-jersey/) . With a win tonight, Buehrle will match Yankees ace Masahiro Tanaka for the most wins in the majors with 11. According to TMZ Sports, the offensive lineman at the center of the Miami Dolphins bullying scandal checked into a facility on Thursday night. The results of an investigation wwere released earlier this month and the 144- page report from Ted Wells concluded that the harassment was a contributing factor in Martins decision to leave the team, but added that it was not intended to drive him away or cause lasting emotional injury. Something like this: http://www.mouser.com/ds/2/414/8140-18711.pdf I had got it in mind that it was part of a feedback mechanism to sense and c ontrol the trim position. But if it's just a visual indicator... I don't know the system you're interfacing to but if I were designing someth ing I'd still use a 10 turn device as it means you don't have to worry about the angular position of the pot in its mount. I'd run the output of the div ider to the analog input of a $1 PIC mounted adjacent and have a simple cali bration procedure to setup the two endpoint voltages. The PIC can output any analog or digital signal you want. This will be connected to a VPX. Once connected there's a calibration procedure to set the start and stop positions of the trim system. There's no way to get more than one rotation on the pulley. 1/2 - 3/4 turn is what I'm going to be looking at. So a one turn pot will provide more than enough motion.
