That drawing uses symbols from my library
and suggests a strong influence from
AEC architecture drawings . . . but it
is not my drawing. It also deviates from
recommended practices in several regards.

Thanks Bob. I remember reading sometime back about a proposed alternative to the
Z-19 dual battery design. Is there one that has still not been published in
the book?
Thanks

Will be having 4 sets of headset jacks in a console between the front seats
in my RV-10. I would like to make the console removeable. Would it create
an interferance problem if I use a molex connector or something comprable
to serve as a disconnect. The shield would be connected to a pin so it
would carry through the connector.

Wouldn't it be easier to leave 2 extra feet of wire coiled up so that when
you remove the panel you can just put it aside?

I am working on the wiring harness and it struck me that it be nice just to
have this as a separate module, easier to manage for the wiring and then
also easy to get the console totally out of the way.

I did itI have not had problems. I used a 9db
connector and crimped pins. Can not remember if I brought the shield
throughmy Jacks are not far from my connector.

Agreed, but machined pin sub-D's are incredibly reliable. I've used
sub-D's to allow unplugging everything in my panel. I don't have the
same confidence in molex connectors, though.

William,
Ill send you a pick of mine. I used db9 connectors just as you suggest.

get rid of starter relay, but you have to replace standard aviation mag/starter

Does anyone even make an ignition switch that can handle that load, or would you
have to split off the starter to a separate toggle that can handle the current?

If I wanted to add a starter engaged light connected to "I" while using that terminal
to engage the starter solenoid would it work to place a good sized resistor
in series with the lamp?
