Sorry but I can not answer any of your specific questions, but consid
er putting the echo in the rear tail cone near the new adsb antenna. =C2-
This would minimize the coax run but longer runs for power and gps.=C2-

I recently purchased a uAvionix Echo ADS-B Out device for my RV-6A. The ins
tructions say to position the ADS-B Out antenna at least 3 feet from my exi
sting transponder antenna. I will be forced to locate the new antenna in th
e aft fuselage with at least a 15-20 foot cable - not an ideal situation fo
r me.
Is there really a significant reason for the distance requirement for the A
DS-B Out antenna? How about proximity to a VHF antenna?

FWIW... Dynon recommends the ADS antenna have 24 inch spacing from the
transponder antenna and no spacing requirements from other antennas.
Thanks,
