From: "jonlaury" In a machine that I produce, I have been using a 24vdc switch to control 120/240 AC and the contacts are sticking when the switch is de-energized. I thought that the problem was poor quality but a customer return and more frequent complaints got my attention to look further and I found the 24v designation on the switch. I use another switch in the machine by the same mfgr and it works unfailingly. I'm wondering if my "poor quality" assumption was a poor quality one [Embarassed] and, simply, a design flaw. Thanks, John Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=472075#472075 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:38:46 PM PST US Subject: AeroElectric-List: Re: Non-aero app: 120/240 AC through 24vdc switch? From: "jonlaury" Maybe a false alarm re voltage causing contact sticking. The 24v stamped on the switch is the integral LED voltage. Further digging revealed the switch to be rated at 250ac @ 5a, with most of my applications using 120vac. So perhaps "poor quality" is a possibility See specs here: https://tinyurl.com/y965y2wo Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=472076#472076 ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 07:44:04 PM PST US Subject: AeroElectric-List: Re: Non-aero app: 120/240 AC through 24vdc switch?
