    My apologies, I got your particular task
    stirred in with another conversation on use
    of the AD626. I recall that you're simply
    wanting to put a small gain on the advance
    signal from the Electroair ignition system.

    I downloaded the Electroair experimental
    installation manual which is very UNCLEAR
    as to what all the ground connections are
     . . . and what kind of current flows in each wire.

    Given the dearth of clarity, here's my best
    recommendation.  Use Pin 14 of J1 as the
    (-) input measurement point. And, of course,
    you already know that Pin 21 is the (+)
    input.

I don't think it calculates any angles . . . there
is a bubble level on the face which assists the
operator in making consistent measurements.
