Would connector shells be necessary as well? Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=489364#489364

D-Sub Backshells support the wires and act as a strain relief to help prevent wires from breaking where they are crimped or soldered. I would use the backshells unless the wires are supported some other way. -------- Joe Gores Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=489370#489370
