Subject: | welding cable fat wire... EPDM, PVC, Neoprene? |
Does anyone have knowledge as to what insulation is best for OBAM welding cable
fat wires? I see choices of EPDM, PVC, and Neoprene. From what I've seen, EPDM
and PVC are rated 105C and Neoprene 150F which is 66C. SAE J1127 is commonly
cited but I haven't found a copy of it.
Thanks

I think EPDM is the most prevalent in the
consumer market. Here's one example for
materials sold by the foot and in colors
to boot.
I'd have no heartburn over this wire in
the 'fat' circuits.
