Is it possible to hook a battery maintainer to it through the cigar lighter port? It only has a 3 amp breaker Thanks Ron Burnett Sent from my iPhone ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 05:35:19 PM PST US From: Matt Dralle Subject: AeroElectric-List: Matronics Email & Email List Server Back Online... Dear Matronics Listers and Matronics Forums Users, Earlier this week, the database that drives the Matronics Forums System developed an issue. I was on travel without myy laptop and unable to address the issue until today. As of 5:30 PDT June 23, 2020, I am very happy to report it was an easy repair and the Forums and Email Lists are 100% back up and full online! I owned a 1948 for 19 years. To answer your question, if you have the time, a small charger is fine. I used a Yuasa 3 step battery charger that was 900mA. I would charge lead acid batteries from 5amps to 200 amps. I was deep cycling the 200 amp Gel Cell Decka batteries down to 60% charge. Took a while to charge, but none the less works just fine. 200 amps times .4 = 80 amps / .9 amps = 89 hours times fudge of lets say 1.3 = 116 hours. If it was below 50F, takes even longer. Ron P.
