Subject: | Re: Battery maintainers |
Keep in mind that many of the battery maintainers draw a small amount of
current if connected to the battery and NOT plugged into AC. Over time, if
permanently attached to the battery, they will draw the battery down.

The part that is permanently attached is just two wires that go from the
battery posts to a connector inside the oil filler door. It's not draining
the battery. The maintainer stays in the hangar & is always plugged in to
an outlet. It's never connected to the battery unless also plugged in &
operating.

Subject: | FCC General Radio Operator's License test prep course? |
My employer has offered to cover the cost of a GROL test-prep/exam course.
Can anyone suggest a provider who does a good job training and
administering the test? The web is full of chafe. I'm looking for a
school to actually teach the material.
It seems like a self-study course might be best. I'd consider that too, so
I'm looking for recommendations. But I'd prefer an in-person course to get
through the test. Looks like it should take a few days.
Thanks folks,
Dave Saylor
