Subject: forest of tabs behind panel

In the Sonex the fuel tank is in the cockpit and directly behind the instrument
panel. There is minimal space on the back side of the firewall. Is there any
issue with mounting the "forest of tabs" behind the panel and then running a
single wire to a grounding point on the cockpit side of the firewall?

If this is feasible, how would I go about sizing said ground wire?

Use a ground wire that is the same size as the positive wire that connects
to the main power bus. An option is to run the ground wire between the
the forest of tabs and battery negative terminal or to wherever the battery
      negative connects to the airframe.
