Listers, Question about DB/D-Sub connectors eg: DB9, DB25, DB37, etc. Garmin recommends, and it seems to be common practice, that all holes in a given DB connector have a pin/socket installed, even when there is no wire connected to that pin.=C2-=C2- Why is that? -Jeff =C2-

Where does Garmin recommend that? I don=99t recall seeing that in the G3X installation manual. I=99ve been an EE for nearly 40 years and d on=99t recall this being a common practice. Most weather resistant co nnectors have plugs available specifically for the holes in the connectors t hat aren=99t loaded.
