If you go this way, it's best to use a switch/breaker that's designed for repeated manual on/off cycles, like the Klixon 7270 / 7271, or the Tyco W31 / W33. I've finished a circuit board layout (see attached image; dimensions in inches), which I'm going to build up and test before offering to Pete.
