Subject: | Engine mount shock absorbers for Allegro 2000 |
Fellow Allegro listers,
Your comments on one or more of my questions below about subject engine
mounts
is very much appreciated.
-- is there any information available about the average service life of
these parts?
-- should they be replaced if the difference in length between the upper
and the lower mounts
is .12 inches?
-- as the propeller pulls the engine forward, the parts are stress loaded
which is not the
usual way these kind of parts are normally loaded. Is the rubber
material of this part
specially made for the engine mounts of the Allegro? Does it have a
different hardness
(Shore A) than commercially available parts of this kind?
Thank you for your help in this matter.
Kind regards,
Theo van Duin
