Subject: | Re: Stall Warning Adjustment |
Thanks for your response Brad.
It doesn't go off until I'm at about 35 MPH after landing during the roll out.
It doesn't sound at all during an approach to stall or during the stall. I know
that there are two different adjustment points, one on the face of the ASI
and one on the stall warning control board, but is would sure be nice to know
what the procedure for adjust is instead of trying to adjust it hit or miss.
Thanks,
Larry

I have the same problem. It sounds after touchdown. The system worked normally
for a couple of years so i am not sure an adjustment will cure your problem.
Presumably you already checked that the sensor tube is not blocked.

Paul,
yes, I've confirmed that the tube from the from the wing leading edge is connected
and intact with no leaks. I was thinking that the pressure switch may have
lost some of it's effectiveness over the years and could be adjusted. But maybe
not. It may require the replacement of circuit board.

Now y'all have me wondering if mine works. It does sometimes sound just after touchdown
with the nosewheel up, but when doing stalls I am focused on coordinated
flight and aerodynamic cues, so maybe wouldn't notice the lack of the buzzer.
Will have to try that out this weekend if the wind dies down from todays 30
kts.
807 hours TT and about 8 years on my Allegro. Will be interesting to see if there
is a stall warning problem that happens on Allegros after they fly several
hundred hours and a few years of age.
