Fellow Allegro list members:
Hugh=B4s idea of having a new nut made out of plastic material (not nylon
but a better quality material for this porpose) appears to be feasible. I
found a machining factory in the Netherlands that is equipped to do this
job.

They accepted an order for 4 to 5 pieces at a price of 75 Euros a piece. To
be sure that the nuts are dimensionally perfect I have to bring them the
threaded shaft and the present nylon nut. Bringing them the parts can
hopefully be done in a couple of weeks from now.
