Good idea. Might just continue to live with it.
I think sending a Gyro for bench test that is otherwise working just fine is begging
to get a $5000 invoice and no improvement.
Down the road a G600 will fix all of that I am sure..

Actually, just a bench check without doing any repair or adjustment is pretty inexpensive.
In fact, any avionics shop that does radar installations can test
the gyro on a tilt table with it hooked up to your RDR 1200 and you'll find out
quickly where the problem really is. I had my setup tested just this way and
it took only about an hour, with most of the time spent for R&R of the radome
and gyro. I found it very educational.
