Make sure it is secure, fully engaged. Even 1/32" makes a difference. Ron Q. At 15:17 7/4/2011, you wrote: >I have a CNX-80 - GNS480 witht he following other units. A couple of months ago I kept losing GPS function - I'd be in the middle of an approach or in cruise - suddenly - nothing - my long time mentor suggested sliding the radio partially out of the rack and reseating it - push firmly on the four corners of the case - then snug it down real good with the allen wrench - haven't had a problem since - I carry the allen wrench in the side pocket by my left elbow - every couple of weeks I snug the set screw down. Just a suggestion - Dan Bergeron RV-7A - N307TB 247 hours since first flight on 8/4/09 On Mon, Jul 11, 2011 at 10:16 PM, Ron Quillin wrote: > Many comments on the Yahoo 480 group regarding poor seating/mating in the > mounting tube. > Make sure it is secure, fully engaged.
