And you move the tang by inserting a small allen wrench (sorry; don't
recall the exact size) in that small hole you see at the bottom-center
of the front panel. Turn counter-clockwise until it stops; you might
notice the 430 backing out of the panel slightly as you turn the allen
head screw.

Use a 3/32" Allen wrench with care - it's a retainer, not a jack screw.
Too much enthusiasm will bend the tray and jam things up. When you
release the initial clamp-up tension, you'll get 2 or 3 relatively free
turns, then meet more resistance. That's your clue to use fingers in
addition to the Allen wrench to coax the radio out of the tray.
Same exercise when putting it back in. Position the locking lug by
turning the Allen wrench counter-clockwise, then slide the radio into
the tray - gently - make sure things are lined up in the back as it
begins to seat. When the radio stops, begin to tighten the Allen wrench
while continuing to push the radio home. When things stop moving
easily, it's time to stop tightening the retainer. Resist the urge to
cinch it down.
