I had this experience with my Dynon EFIS. I had a major delay in my building project (like 4 years) and when I got back to it my EFIS (Electronic Flight Instrument System) battery pack was beyond resuscitation. The replacement battery pack was listed at $125. So I took the shrink wrap off the pack which revealed 4 batteries soldered together with some mini electronic parts (possible diodes?) included in the wiring. Very carefully, I took the pack apart, examined the batteries and looked them up on the web. I bought a pack of 6 just incase of a screw up, used silver solder to put it back together and it works and charges just fine, Cost w/ shipping about $36. From: Larry Bowen Good job. I know a guy that did the same for his ELT battery. Easy, effective, and cheap. My three favorite things.
