Subject: | Narco Transponder Tray Coax Connector |
Can someone point me to the part number/source for a replacement 90-degree,
bulkhead, slide-on, coax connector used on the Narco AT-150 transponder
tray? Any of the usual suspects (Mouser, Digi-Key, Allied, etc) carry
them?
Thanks,
James

Both of those keep sending me catalogs but I have never bought anything. Prices
are way up in the sky and they seem to want to know how many thousands you want.
The Digi-key web site tells all. Mouser is catching up rapidly.
I may have a used Narco tray here. Offline to dmcnutt AT same domain with Narco
in the subject.
Is that transponder still legal? There were some problems with it two decades
ago.

Single AD to comply with a Narco service bulletin back in 2004 with
regard to responses to mode S interrogation. Only applies to a certain
serial number range.
Any Narco transponder from AT-50 up through AT165 use same tray and
pinout. So even if one specific unit is bad, there are plenty of good
ones in service to get a replacement.

Subject: | Narco Transponder Tray Coax Connector |
If you are referring to the tray mounted coax connector which is typically a
TED brand connector like is used on most tray mount avionics of that
generation, you can probably use the Deklin DBA-600. It mounts to the tray
the same way (cir-clip) but has a BNC on the other end so you don't have to
try to solder the coax on which is a challenge.
Best regards,
John DenDekker
