Im building a Europa which is currently in the body shop getting filled and painted. While thats getting done I'm left with the task iv been putting off for a long time now.......Panel wiring! I have spent about 3 weeks now working out wiring diagrams and schematics but have become stuck on a certain bit which I'm seeking help with on here from more knowledgeable people than I. I have an Icom A210E, using the 15 pin D sub connector (MB-113) and want to connect it to a PMA8000BT audio panel as a comm 2 unit. With the limited wiring instructions on the icom I'm unable to work out how to wire it to the audio panel. If anyone here is able to help me please get in touch and help out a very frustrated builder. Many thanks Frank Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=458968#458968 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:14:25 PM PST US From: Chuck Birdsall Subject: Re: Avionics-List: Help Needed.......Please Frank, Here's a wire list for the way I would do it (sorry, my computer drawing skills are lacking ...) Please verify signal names and pins: Icom DB 15 to PMA 8000BT J1 Receive audio (Shielded two-conductor): Icom pin 14 (Headphones Audio Out +) to J1 pin13 (Com 2 Audio Hi) Icom pin 13 (Headphones Audio Out -) to J1 pin 14 (Com 2 Audio Lo) Microphone audio (Shielded three-conductor) Icom pin 8 (Mic 1 Audio In +) to J1 pin 15 (Com 2 Mic) Icom pin 7 (Mic 1 Audio -) to ground lug on PMA 8000BT Icom pin 4 (PTT +*) to J1 pin 30 (Com 2 Mic Key) Notes: Connect shields at audio panel end of harness to ground lug on back of PMA 8000BT, leave the shields on the Icom end unconnected Leave the speaker output from the Icom unconnected No need for transmit interlock or intercom switch connections, the PMA 8000 will take care of that internally If you don't have three-conductor wire you can use a single un-shielded wire to connect the PTT/Mic Key line Chuck ---- spcialeffects wrote: > > Hi all.
