Hi all, im on a steep learning curve regarding glass instrumentation and wanting
to learn more!
I recently got handed a near new Bendix KLN94 instal package which im wanting to
fit in the cockpit along with a suitable larger format MFD... Im not fussed
about having to use Windows95 or older protocols to update the KLN94
My question is related to connecting ancillary components through the RS-232 protocol,
such as KMD550/850, or EX500.. Can anyone provide insight into what additional
components would be required to achieve ADSB IN/OUT along with TAWS,
Traffic, Weather using the KLN94? Ideally I would like to have the aforementioned
features along with achieving IFR standard and autopilot.

Unless I missed a memo, the KLN94 is non-WAAS, so if you're thinking
about using it as a position source for ADSB it won't work for that.
