Engine usage rates and operating habits probably have much more effect on engine longevity than the brand of oil selected. The best thing you can do for your engine is to fly it regularly. A one hour flight every week or two will do more to keep corrosion under control than anything else. Change your oil every 3 months or 50 hours, whichever comes first. Aviation oils are very different than automotive oils, and calendar time is every bit as important as engine operation time.. so don't let it sit in the engine for more than 3 months or so. Do the above and you'll be in good shape regardless of the oil vendor you select. If you are not able to fly often, then using one of the oils with a corrosion-inhibiting additive (Shell "plus" oils, the Esxon Elite, etc) may provide some help. But none of the additives are going to be as effective as flying often.
