Subject: Ruddervators Removal
Anyone out there have problems removing the outboard hinge bolt. We
found that we were forced to remove the hinge bracket in order to
remove the ruddervator. The bolt would go through a lightening hole
in the horn rib then hit a stiffener behind the rib before
disengaging from the hinge bearing/bushing.
I am also thinking about reassembly as I would hate to remove the
hinge bracket from a newly rebuilt/reskinned ruddervator to reinstall.
