uggestions where to send the gearbox? Any thing else we should look for

Hello Sherm:
You've probably already done this but I would sure put her up on jacks
and cycle the gear up and down to try to pinpoint if the problem is
actually 1) in the gearbox, 2) in the landing gear linkage etc. 3) in
the landing gear motor and it's little gear train.
I O/H'd my own gear box, it's a worm & ring mechanism with mostly seals
& bearings to replace. Not a lot to go wrong. I only did mine because
the seals (old original leather) were leaking.
