Hello List, Does anybody have experience or
knowledge of flying with a coleman fuel cylinder? I am
going to OSH this year for the first time. I would
like to take our own fuel source but I am a little
worried about air pressure differential. Thanks, Craig

If it is the pressurized type, there is sufficient margin of strength
built into the can to allow you to cruise up beyond 15k. If liquid
canister, make sure you pack it securely upright.

Craig,
Been to OSH many times in 172 as high as 10K MSL w/o any problems carrying full
16 oz bottles of propane. They do have an over pressure relief but overall these
tanks are low pressure. Unlike scuba tanks which start at sea level with
4K psi so you want them empty when your depart.

I use a hiking stove that burns gasoline. Simple, and always a fuel source
nearby.
