Dear Listers,
I currently own a 1959 C-150 that is currently becoming a hanger
queen as I have not flown it for about a year :
( I'm thinking about
selling it but have no idea what it's really worth. I got it at a very low
price due to a buddies unfortunate divorce just after he got done going over
every part, replacing many pieces like the windshield, headliner, etc.
He also just got a fresh paint job, and rebuilt the whole engine using new
cylinders even though the total time on the plane was about 780 hours. It
now has about 1080 hrs. on it and it flys like brand new. My buddy was
very meticulous and has pictures of all the work he did. I have all the
logs clear back to 1959 and I am currently the third owner of the plane
(N7798E) The only thing that needs attention are some of the original
instruments like the DG and the VSI. It currently has an icom radio and a
king transponder but that> '> s about it. It had a stc for Cleveland brakes
and a new strobe/collision light.
So what do you guys think?
Just briefly poking around I see ranges from 16k to 35k depending
if they were high time and beat up or IFR and a tail dragger.
Any help would be appreciated.
