Lee,
I am getting your message late and you may have already solved the
problem......
You did not say if the beacon is a strobe or bulb. Strobes are notorious
audio noise makers. It is the nature of the power supply charging circuits
and the firing of the strobe. Some thoughts if a strobe noise problem:
* good grounds are a must.
* the power lead to strobe power supply should be located a the 'beginning'
(closest to the actual AC battery) of the panel electrical bus and not at
the end of the string of circuit breakers, etc.
* the strobe cable must be shielded and grounded properly, assuming the
power supply and strobe are separated.
* there are snap-on torroidal cores that one can buy. They should be
snapped on to the headset cable as close to the actual headset as possible.
It will act like a filter. Not a full cure, but, it will help.
