Richard, As you most likely know, the flaps on the C-152 are electric.
The only thing on the panel is a switch, which controls a flap motor and
linkage. A much lighter installation is the manual control in early
C-150
and C-172. Also take a look at the flaps on a C-140; very light and
simple. Spring loaded up and cable pulled down with a lever.

Hi,
can anybody help me with a construction drawing or photo of the flap
control device
installed in the panel of C152 / C172 (maintenance manual)? I would like
to adapt this elegant solution to my homebuilt.
