D, I've only installed these in place of a rotating beacon, not a flasher. Both my 150's have flashers and we've replaced both the bulbs and flasher units when they quit working with new faa/pma aeroflash units. The rotating beacons were in older, 50's model airplanes. ACS sells the stuff to replace the 70's cessna aero-flashers. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/aerofanticol.php and they are FAA/PMA. mitch Subject: Re: More 150 parts From: "n1345p" <n1345p(at)suddenlink.net> Date: Jan 30, 2008 I wouldn't mess with repairing a rotating beacon - unless I for some reason really wanted to keep it. I have replaced these as a minor repair with something like this: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/fs4400.php mitch C150J,L Read this topic online here: http://forums.matronics.com/viewtopic.php?p=161498#161498 > > I have replaced these as a minor repair with something like this: > http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/elpages/fs4400.php > > mitch > C150J,L > Hello Mitch. Thanks for the info on the tail strobe. I have a couple of questions if you can spare a few moments... For mounting in the C150L did you have to purchase the adapter ACS sells, too? What about wiring in the C150L? Did you have to run new wires from the panel? Did you use the same breaker, a new breaker, or the "fuse" they have listed? Finally, any issues getting the 337 for this component past the feds? Thanks again for your time and the helpful info, Mitch.
