I need a pair of diaphragm kits for PS 7 BD carbs, or a good shop. Precsion Engines seem to be a rip off, Quote one price and then demand almost double when it comes time to pay. As you can imagine I was slightly pissed off when they then offered overhauls at about 2/3 the price of the kit. This is the last step before we can fire up the beast. I much prefer this over the individual real time postings. If it is possible to drop me from just the individual postings and keep me on the digest list, I would very much appreciate it. Thank You, Larry Wokral l.wokral@ix.netcom.com ________________________________ Message 6 _____________________________________ Time: 11:24:18 AM PST US From: YOURTCFG@aol.com Subject: Re: Commander-List: RE: Commander-List Digest --> Commander-List message posted by: YOURTCFG@aol.com In a message dated 12/30/02 10:14:27 AM Pacific Standard Time, L.Wokral@ix.netcom.com writes: > Hello, > > I've been away for a couple of months and am just now catching up on the > Commander e-mails. Some things have been learned, some AGAIN. 1. If an exhaust pipe breaks it will be the one that somebody has been "rigging" on before. 2. If you send that one off to the welder for overhaul he will probably send your "rigged" pipe back and it will be "boogered" then. (Boogered is never a possitive term.) 3.Once it has been determined that the "boogered" unit will not fit, you will realize that you have aleady lost 2 weeks +. 4. If all you have is 4 pieces of a tailpipe that was once one piece, send the fabricator the corresponding one off of the other engine so he can have a clue what it is he is supposed to make. 5. AWI is slow, BUT given a reasonable part to duplicate, and some time, you will have a nice pipe if you choose them.(I never pushed them on time) Had I started at 4, I might have been able to fly ny Commander for Thanksgiving and save a month of down time. If you are ever in Tallahassee, FL, and need work, Flightline is very reasonable. Now I just ned to get my King 155 fixed. Always something, bilbo ________________________________ Message 8 _____________________________________ Time: 06:40:24 PM PST US From: Buddy Windham Subject: Re: Commander-List: At Last! --> Commander-List message posted by: Buddy Windham Bill, I might suggest a 337 based upon the following application. Do you remember the old 3 and 4 hole Buick's? Next time you can just turn the pipes straight out the cowl with 4 holes (chrome excuscions) and boy would that look good. Also I'm working on bouncing struts controlled from inside the cabin. Just imagine hitting the switch and watching her bounce when I come rolling up in Dayton this next summer. Anyways, I'm glad you got the old girl flying. Mine is at CommanderAero for annual. Just got the fix it list back and all in all not to bad. Should be under 10k. (Better be under 10k) Talk to you soon. --- Bow wrote: > --> Commander-List message posted by: "Bow" > > > Well, 2 months(Halloween) after my(the airplane) > exhauust pipe broke, The > Commander returned home today.
