My decision to purchase was made much easier with the information received from many members of TCFG. Special thanks to Milt, Cris and Don "oil slick". They were a great help in getting my Commander home. N11L is currently in the paint shop getting some stripes. Previously it was overall white. I'll sent you some photo's when it is completed. I plan to have an autopilot installed next and am working to update the RDR130 radar with a color unit. It already has a Garmin 430. Looking forward to meeting everyone at the next Fly-in. Can you give me the date/location? Thomson is a great stop over on the way to Florida. We are one of the most convenient airports to the Masters in Augusta (twenty minutes by car no traffic). With 5200' , ILS and full sevrice we can handle most everything at HQU. We are a family run FBO and look forward to meeting members of TCFG and seeing their aircraft. My N# is N11L not N11V. Thanks again, James Lyle HI KIDS. I want to introduce a new TCFG member. James Lyle is the proud new owner of a 520 Commander, N11V. It sounds like a really nice airplane and even has new "MV" propellers with no AD!! James is the owner of Thomson Aviation in Thomson GA and has extended to all TCFG members a .50 per gal discount on fuel and a $48 per hr shop rate!! Way to go James!! I will be sending him some copies of some great 520 advertisements I have collected over the years, I think he will enjoy them. I am working on the next Flight Group News and plan to mail it early next week. It will feature a great article by "Sir" Barry on more military Commanders as well as a piece on pressurization by John Bosch, from Commander Aero. I plan to try and highlight a member and their airplane from time to time starting with this issue. I am working on a story about TCFG member George Yundt who sells Falcon jets by day and flies a 685 Commander by night, or at least fore fun. He sent some great pix, I think it will be a fun read. Lots of other stuff. If you are a Commander owner or just want to be, this is a great time to become a member of our group. Contact me and I will send an application. Hope all is well in Commanderland. jb Welcome aboard N11L >>> YOURTCFG@aol.com 01/11 10:26 PM >>> --> Commander-List message posted by: YOURTCFG@aol.com HI KIDS.
