Dear Civilians, We know that the current state of affairs in our great nation have many civilians up in arms and excited to join the military. For those of you who can't join, you can still lend a hand. Here are a few of the areas we would like your assistance: 1) The next time you see an adult talking (or wearing a hat) during the playing of the National Anthem ... kick their ass. 2) When you witness firsthand someone burning the American Flag in protest... kick their ass. 3) Regardless of the rank they held while they served, pay the highest amount of respect to all veterans. If you see anyone doing otherwise, quietly pull them aside and explain how these Veterans fought for the very freedom they bask in every second. Enlighten them on the many sacrifices these Veterans made to make this Nation great. Then hold them down while a Disabled Veteran kicks their ass. 4) (GUYS) If you were never in the military, DO NOT pretend that you were. Wearing battle dress uniforms (BDU's), telling others that you used to be "Special Forces," and collecting GI Joe memorabilia, might have been okay if you were still seven. Now, it will only make you look stupid and get your ass kicked. 5) Next time you come across an Air Force member, do not ask them, "Do you fly a jet?" Not everyone in the Air Force is a pilot. Such ignorance deserves an ass kicking (children are exempt). 6) If you witness someone calling the U.S. Coast Guard non military, inform them of their mistake...and kick their ass. 7) Roseanne Barr's singing of the National Anthem is not a blooper ......it was a disgrace and disrespectful. Laugh, and sooner or later your ass will be kicked. 8) Next time Old Glory (U.S. flag) prances by during a parade, get on your damn feet and pay homage to her by placing your hand over your heart.. Quietly thank the military member or veteran lucky enough to be carrying her...of course, failure to do either of those could earn you a severe ass kicking. 9) What Jane Fonda did during the Vietnam War makes her the enemy. The proper word to describe her is "traitor". Just mention her nomination for Woman of the Year" and get your ass kicked. 10) Don't try to discuss politics with a military member or a veteran. We are Americans and we all bleed the same regardless of our party affiliation. Our Chain of Command, is to include our commander in Chief. The President (for those who didn't know) is our CIC regardless of political party. We have no inside track on what happens inside those big important buildings where all those "representatives" meet. All we know is that when those civilian representatives screw up the situation, they call upon the military to go straighten it out. The military member might direct you to Oliver North. (I can see him kicking your ass already.) 11) "Your mama wears combat boots" never made sense to me ... stop saying it! If she did, she would most likely be a vet and therefore, could kick your ass! 12) Bin Laden and the Taliban are not communists, so stop saying "Let's go kill those Commie's!!!" And stop asking us where he is!!!! Crystal balls are not standard issue in the military. That reminds me ... if you see anyone calling those damn psychic phone numbers; let me know, so I can go kick their ass. 13) Flyboy (Air Force), Jar Head (Marines), Grunt (Army), Squid (Navy) etc, are terms of endearment we use describing each other. Unless you are a service member or vet, you have not earned the right to use them. That could get your ass kicked. 14) Last but not least, whether or not you become a member of the military, support our troops and their families. Every Thanksgiving and religious holiday that you enjoy with family and friends, please remember that there are literally thousands of sailors and troops far from home wishing they could be with their families. Thank God for our military and the sacrifices they make every day. Without them, our country would get its ass kicked. * "It is the soldier, not the reporter who has given us the freedom of the press. * It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us the freedom of speech.. * It is the soldier, not the campus organizer, who gives us the freedom to demonstrate. * It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag, and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who makes it possible for the protester to burn the flag." Authored by: Father Dennis Edward O'Brien, Sergeant, USMC Please pass this on so I won't have to kick your ass! ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 05:23:56 PM PST US From: JETPAUL@aol.com Subject: Commander-List: Fwd: Check out The Home Front jpowell717@msn.com, SinkBird@aol.com, b.rutledge@charter.net, Wingnut195@cs.com, stubie@mindspring.com, BeccaSue1975@aol.com, Clydejr86@aol.com, blankenship3@peoplepc.com, C04Glenn.Dahl@USAFA.edu, commander-list@matronics.com, Crunk1@direcway.com, cwall@worldflight2000.com, DuckRyder@att.net, Carter1984@aol.com, lfloyd@cswnet.com, jsalex2@msn.com, Jpillatzki@702com.net, allen_reed2@hotmail.com, keyscruising@earthlink.net, w.bow@att.net, COMMANDER560@cs.com, B777atkins@aol.com, TILLMAN333@aol.com --> Commander-List message posted by: JETPAUL@aol.com From: "Allen Reed" Crunk12@bellsouth.net, angelbear1174@msn.com, elclarko@earthlink.net, evniehoff@yahoo.com, melissatb@hotmail.com, grammiekak@hotmail.com, heyjude@access995.com, JETPAUL@aol.com, torituria@yahoo.com, flygirlkt@hotmail.com, landhome@edge.net, KayeByMail@juno.com, marafw@cs.com, max2150@sbcglobal.net, N414C@direcway.com, patrina_speight@hotmail.com, redredwine22@hotmail.com, rkmoore17@hotmail.com, bobirdie@msn.com, sprice1@ford.com, stefiec3@aol.com, CATONY@charter.net, jhobesh34@yahoo.com Subject: Fwd: Check out The Home Front >From: Patches >>--------------------------------- by mta134.mail.scd.yahoo.com with SMTP; 01 Apr 2003 13:50:32 -0800 (PST) From: AsTheSea@aol.com Subject: Check out The Home Front Click here: The Home Front Click here: The Home Front ________________________________ Message 4 _____________________________________ Time: 06:15:48 PM PST US From: JETPAUL@aol.com Subject: Commander-List: Fwd: FW: A speech you won't hear on Al Jazeera jpowell717@msn.com, SinkBird@aol.com, b.rutledge@charter.net, Wingnut195@cs.com, stubie@mindspring.com, BeccaSue1975@aol.com, Clydejr86@aol.com, blankenship3@peoplepc.com, bray0@dellepro.com, commander-list@matronics.com, Critterwife95@aol.com, Crunk1@direcway.com, cwall@worldflight2000.com, dbrunson@charter.net, Dtihs@aol.com, Flyinjetz@aol.com, Jpillatzki@702com.net, jsalex2@msn.com, lfloyd@cswnet.com, DuckRyder@att.net, Carter1984@aol.com, sdg@negia.net, NANNANPC@aol.com, tdphep@earthlink.net, allen_reed2@hotmail.com, keyscruising@earthlink.net, w.bow@att.net, COMMANDER560@cs.com, B777atkins@aol.com, TILLMAN333@aol.com --> Commander-List message posted by: JETPAUL@aol.com From: Dahl Glenn C2C CS36 Subject: FW: A speech you won't hear on Al Jazeera thought youmight like this -----Original Message----- From: Trombetta John C2C CS36 Subject: FW: A speech you won't hear on Al Jazeera Read below. -----Original Message----- From: Jablonsky Daneta C2C CS22 Jablonsky Daneta C2C CS22; Kennedy Patrick C1C CS19; Keyser Jonathan C2C CS32; Kingry Michael C2C CS33; Kramer Jason C1C CS14; Lisanti Joseph C1C CS08; Mallory John C1C CS30; Medina Dyan C2C CS06; Miller Zachary C2C CS03; Nicoloff James C1C CS03; Payne Zakary C2C CS13; Pulley Preston C1C CS04; Rounds Raymond C1C CS21; Russell Matthew C1C CS21; Sargeant Patrick C2C CS03; Slaughter Stephen C2C CS12; Sumner Jonathan C1C CS31; Trombetta John C2C CS36; Watts Brian C2C CS30; White Ethan C1C CS14; Whitener Jalen C2C CS16; Wisehart William C2C CS10; Wozniak Kristin C1C CS33; Mallory John C1C CS30 Subject: FW: A speech you won't hear on Al Jazeera Its a good speech:) Have a great night! -----Original Message----- From: Tomme Ed B LtCol USAFA/DFP Sarah C2C CS20; Home (tomme@att.net); Gurley Kenneth S. Col. Tim Collins, 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish after addressing his troops Lt. Col. Tim Collins, 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish after addressing his troops 22 March 2003 With one phrase, Lt. Col. Tim Collins, commander of the 1st Battalion of the Royal Irish, summed up the task in hand for the British forces waiting to remove Saddam Hussein from Iraq. Collins was addressing his 800 men, an arm of Britain's 16 Air Assault Brigade, at Fort Blair Mayne, a Kuwaiti desert camp 20 miles south of the Iraqi border. Here is as much of his extraordinary speech as has been reported. "We go to liberate not to conquer. We will not fly our flags in their country. We are entering Iraq to free a people and the only flag which will be flown in that ancient land is their own. Show respect for them. "There are some who are alive at this moment who will not be alive shortly. Those who do not wish to go on that journey, we will not send. As for the others I expect you to rock their world. Wipe them out if that is what they choose. But if you are ferocious in battle remember to be magnanimous in victory. "Iraq is steeped in history. It is the site of the Garden of Eden, of the Great Flood and the birthplace of Abraham. Tread lightly there. You will see things that no man could pay to see and you will have to go a long way to find a more decent, generous and upright people than the Iraqis. You will be embarrassed by their hospitality even though they have nothing. Don't treat them as refugees for they are in their own country. Their children will be poor, in years to come they will know that the light of liberation in their lives was brought by you. "If there are casualties of war then remember that when they woke up and got dressed in the morning they did not plan to die this day. Allow them dignity in death. Bury them properly and mark their graves. "It is my foremost intention to bring every single one of you out alive but there may be people among us who will not see the end of this campaign. We will put them in their sleeping bags and send them back. There will be no time for sorrow. "The enemy should be in no doubt that we are his nemesis and that we are bringing about his rightful destruction. There are many regional commanders who have stains on their souls and they are stoking the fires of hell for Saddam. He and his forces will be destroyed by this coalition for what they have done. As they die they will know their deeds have brought them to this place. Show them no pity. "It is a big step to take another human life. It is not to be done lightly. I know of men who have taken life needlessly in other conflicts, I can assure you they live with the mark of Cain upon them. If someone surrenders to you then remember they have that right in international law and ensure that one day they go home to their family. "The ones who wish to fight, well, we aim to please. "If you harm the regiment or its history by over-enthusiasm in killing or in cowardice, know it is your family who will suffer. You will be shunned unless your conduct is of the highest for your deeds will follow you down through history. We will bring shame on neither our uniform or our nation. "[Regarding the use by Saddam of chemical or biological weapons] It is not a question of if, it's a question of when.
