HI KIDS.......
Just another quick update. There are 17 Commanders on the
ramp!! Counting the airplanes that already live here, there are a total of 24
Commanders at one place, Way Cool!! We had a wonderful evening last night. Our
banquet feed about 70 people. We gave Dick Warmonger's son Greg his Dada's
"Lifetime Achievement Award." It is a polished Hartzell Propeller blade mounted
on a mahogany base. I was a very special time for all. I did the charity
auction for a foundation that Greg has set up to help young A & P Machanics in
school buy tools, we raised $1400 from memorabilia from Dicks basement, cool
stuff.
Yesterday was filled with speakers representing all of the major
avionics suppliers demonstrating the latest in "weather in the cockpit" technology.
Today, Ndt testing, aging aircraft and much more.
John Towner is here with his son from Kansas City in a 20000hr 500B.
next years conventio will be held at his facility.
Winner aviation paid for an open bar last night as well as yesterday's
lunch. This is by far the best gathering we have had. Best attendance, most
Commanders, best weather and most FUN!! jb

G'day All,
Congratulations to Capt Jimbob and the fabulous
team at Commander Aero for putting together the
best TCFG Flyin yet.
There is no doubt that the incredible strength of the
TCFG is in its vast diversity of members and the
passion with which we all love the Aero Commander.
It is clear that the network has gone to a new level of
strength and I get the feeling that more and more
people and organisations are sitting sharply upright
and taking notice of the ever growing strengh of the
TCFG collective voice.
The assembled fleet of Commanders this weekend
must be a record with nearly a full cross-section of
types represented.
The TCFG is a fascinating collection of true-
believers...lets all keep the dream alive!!
Many thanks Jimbob
and Commander Aero!
Cheers
Russell

Capt. JimBob,
Thanks for the field report. Had a trip to Portland, OR (KPDX) on Friday with
an r.o.n.
Saw a very handsome Shrike land and taxi into Flightcraft and kinda got a lump
in my throat, being reminded that I was missing the Fly-In.
Would have loved to bid on some of Dick Wartinger's nick-nacks!
Keep up the good work. Say hello to everyone for me.
Wish I was there.
Wing Commander Gordon

HI KIDS.
What a great day! The convention is over an a great success!!
We finished up early enough to get some flying in. I gave Dick Wartingers
grand daughter a Commander ride, it was great. I also flew some formation with
Bob Steele in his beautiful shrike. He and Bob & Stan Perkins were on there
way to another flying event.
Now, get this. Bob & Stan perkins were there to pick up there new
681, century airplane. Barry Collman offered to research there airplane and
since he was into the data base anyway, Bob asked Barry to look up some of his
other previously owned Commander. One was a 680E, N3618C. Well, giuse what.
3618C is now...........N222JS!! He owned my Commander!!
Got to go. Having dinner with Yoda, Jimmy Rodiguiz, Barry Coleman and
Moe Mills. More to come. jb
