NO_REAL_NAME@matronics.com, SUBJ_ALL_CAPS@matronics.com --> Commander-List message posted by: YOURTCFG@aol.com HI KIDS... There are no words to express the gratitude I feel for John Bosch, Scherry Diamond, Gary Kromer and all of the wonder full staff at Commander Aero. Their planing and hospitality are legendary. The words "Thank You" simply don't convey the feelings that I have for these people and what they have done for our group, but lacking any other option, I can only say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART. And, thanks to all who attended. There were about 70 Commander owners, venders and speakers in attendance this year, by far the largest I have had the pleasure to host. 17 airplanes made the trip with only two "no shows." Several people went to extraordinary measures to be there. Tylor Hall and his crew fought terrible weather in their 500B and arrived at about 11pm on Thursday evening to be there! Morris Kernickand Bob Perkins were riding with John Vormbaum and finaly gave up and parked there 500B in New Mexico but undaunted, thery jumped on the next available "Crowd Killer" and were there for the Thursday evening dinner! Regardless of the planing that is done for these events, if people wont come, it will be a failure. This was the best attended event we have had and it is the loyalty shown by those who simply wont be dissuaded that make this event so special. To all of them, THANKS!!. Russel Laegg and Richard Thompson were both there from Australia. My dear friend and our offical historian Barry Collman made the trip from the UK. Barry has been at EVERY TCFG event, every one!! Buddy Windham, Lou Tran, Bob Murdock, Bob Steele, Andy Bustillo, John Towner, Dick Maccoon, Jerry Sprayberry, Bill Boughn, Mike Hudgins, George Yundt, Phil Stubbs and Moe Mills all brought there great Commanders there. Moe flew 1665KMs! Thanks, Thanks!!! We had 2- 560Fs, 2 685s, 2- 680F(P)s,and 2- 500Ss. There was a straight 500, 560E, 680E, 500A and several 500Bs, including one with 20000hr TT. Counting the airplanes that already lived there, there were 24 Commanders on the ramp!! We had many new faces this year but we did miss the "Southern Wing" if the TCFG. Milt Concannon, Joe Shepheard, Jim Crunkelton and Chris Schurmann and John Williams were all absent. We all missed them and hope they will be able to attend next years event at John Towners facility in Kansas City. Plans are already underway to make it even better than this year. I am honored and humbled to represent such a great group. Thanks for the opportunity and for the great friendships and memories.
