N2730B has been registered to the same owner, William E Crump Jr., of Garden City, Michigan, since he purchased it on December 13th 1978. It has had a couple of documented accidents. The first was on December 23rd 1974 when the gear retracted during the landing roll (NTSB file no. 3-4173). Repair was signed-off as completed on February 2nd 1975. The second was 10 days later when, on February 12th the gear collapsed after a hard landing in poor weather/icing conditions (NTSB file no. 3-0369) Repair was signed-off as completed on April 29th 1975. For an aircraft which will be 49 years old in June, it has had relatively few owners. Five, if dealers are not included.
