100 degrees plus in North Las Vegas.
No souls perished but 3 hospitalized.
Pilot is Jon Stairs.
Aircraft Destroyed!

It's a pleasure. Like all of you, I am a total Commander nut and would like
to see its virtues spread as far and wide as possible. I found the turbo
Commander's performance specs particulary interesting. Flying as I read it -
all in my crazy mind...
Bert deserves most of the accolades, of course, it was no small effort

What an amazing aircraft. I have never seen anything like it. Cockpit gone,
pilots OK. Aircraft destroyed, left engine runs like crazy. TV crew on the
scene, news anchor has no idea what he is talking about. Not even the guy in
the chopper knows aircraft terms and language. Par for the course. It seems
evident that the guy who poked around in the wheel well was trying to
disconnect a fuel line or something to stop the engine.
Anyway, what an amazing bit of footage. Pity we cannot get that on our
website to preserve it. KVBC will take it off their website in a few days
and then we won't have access to it. Is there anyone who knows someone over
there who could talk them into giving us the video clip? We will host it
with all proper credits, or they could let us have a deep link to it in
their archive. We will keep it with the uninformed news anchors intact.
If anyone could help, it would be greatly appreciated.

and she will quit.
life may be rough elsewhere but, I am not going be to pretty when I go. I am
