Tyler,
A 55 gallon drum works great, however, it will not fit through the door on
my bus (too large in dia.). Problem with using a rope is that it doesn't
work when you stand on the horizontal stabilizer (the rope will bend). This
is the reason that we used the barrel with two pieces of tubing.

Mason (and everyone else):
I will bring a color photo copier to the Fly In so if anyone wants to bring
some stuff to be copied we can do it. Sorry, Mason, I always thought that
Mr. Sloan was more nearly correct that was Mr. Ford.

TCFG,
I will speak when I should be listening but a friend of mine, that helped me
with keeping N444BD in the air, took a come-along and removed the hook from
the cable end and put a bolt through it. We drilled a hole in the tail skid
the same size as the bolt. We hook the other end on the bumper of the truck,
on a tug, the last time we hooked on a heavy work bench. Been doing this for
over 20 years with no problems so far. You can pull the nose off the ground
with out having to jack the plane up if you only want to work on the nose. I
use the same hole for my tail stand that was made from two pieces of conduit
and a large washer and is adjustable. We made this after the tail was
slammed down because of snow on the horizontal stab. I made a metal frame
for a 55 gal drum, put wheels on it and put a wooden cradle in the frame and
chained the drum to the frame. I cut a hole in the drum welled a pipe in the
hole, water tight, aliened the bung holes so the small hole was on the
bottom and put a valve in it for draining then put a smaller pipe in with
adjusting holes and attached it to the tail skid. The come along has worked
better though, especially after some liked my drum better than me.

All-
Well, N2760B in Delaware is complete except for props and a paint job!
Still looking for a good/serviceable set of hubs and blades for a 560A -
all prior leads have fallen through.
Originals were the HC83x20-2C hubs with the 8433 blades for the GO
480-D1A engines. Still have the 480-D1A engines, but willing to
consider any option (if any) that has been STC'd for this plane/engine
combo.
Also willing to buy hubs and blades separate if needed.
Let me know if anyone has a lead. Want to exhaust all possibilities
before having to buy new - yikes!
Matt

Matt,
I still have the 2 complete prop part sets that we discussed a few months ago.
I have hubs, blades and clamps (not MV modified). The blades are green tagged
as servicable and have sufficient shank matterial for the modification. I
am not even sure if the MV mod is absolutely required??? The clamps and hubs
are untagged.
