    Subject: Schematics
--> Commander-List message posted by: "Tom Fisher" <tfisher@commandergroup.bc.ca> I am in desperate need of some schematics for the 680FLP (Mr.RPM). The environmental control system (read air conditioner) was pulled from my bird and all I got back from the seller is two evaporator units attached to blowers and one item that looks like a cooling unit with a built in belt driven fan for the compressed freon. I do not know where these items are meant to be install in the airframe as there are no drawings at all. The original factory documentation is useless. I appears that I am still missing the compressor and the electric motor that drives the compressor and cooling unit fan. I also need to get the hydraulic pressure relief valve or accumulator looked at as my brand new overhauled hydraulic pump is leaking and the overhauler says it must be the pressure relief valve or accumulator that allowed pressure on the vacuum side of the pump which in turn rolled a seal out of place. My engineers can't locate the pressure relief valve and I end up paying for all the research time that goes into finding things. I heard there may be someone in the Spokane WA area, anyone know of a contact in that area? Tom F. C-GISS

--> Commander-List message posted by: CloudCraft@aol.com Tom, So sorry you are neck deep in a "project" airplane. I bet that's not what you signed up for. The airconditioners in the MR. RPMs -- or at least a few that I've seen -- are often placed under the rear seat. Mason, Brock, can you confirm? I'd contact Mr. RPM, himself and find out. He's just south of the border on Camano Island. I think Tylor Hall has his current contact info. Wing Commander Gordon Life is not simple anywhere. Probably less so elsewhere.

--> Commander-List message posted by: "Tom Fisher" <tfisher@commandergroup.bc.ca> REALLY? under the bench seat? First I've heard of that, boy do I need guidance. Project plane? I need to replace all the side windows as they are badly crazed (no mention of that in the inspection). The machine was delivered with a white plastic hose snacking under the seats to between the pilots seats for their comfort and the other end was duck taped to the outlet heater manifold in the tail. My engineer tried to speak with Dick but apparently he sold the whole thing to a couple of gentlemen that are not ready for business yet. When we asked for drawings they said it's all in boxes and will be unable to provide anything for the next few (6?) months. Tom F. You're lucky to have a dedicated pilot's environmental contol unit system. The freon air in the RPM aircraft recirculates the conditioned cabin air, so yes, much of the works would be under the bench seat. Compressors and the like may be behind the aft pressure bulkhead, but I do believe most of the works (evaporators, blowers) are under the bench seat. Good place for them -- right at Center of Gravity, so the freon air system has little impact on aircraft loading. Even though I'm not sure I can make it due to work / crew scheduling at my company, Tom, YOU really need to get to the Flyn-In to talk w/ Morris Kernick, look at few RPM moded aircraft, etc. Wing Commander Gordon Life is not simple anywhere. Probably less so elsewhere.

--> Commander-List message posted by: "nico css" <nico@cybersuperstore.com> I found this on AvFlash: PUT YOUR AIRPLANE ON TELEVISION! Wings to Adventure, the exciting new weekly television series on the Outdoor Channel presenting the planes, places, and people of general aviation, is looking for ideas. Maybe it's a great fly-in destination you know about, an interesting aviation story in your area, or maybe you have a plane you'd like to see featured in high-definition video. Doesn't matter if your plane is the latest composite speedster, a classic taildragger, or a solid representative of a trainer. Offer your suggestions for the hottest aviation programming on television by visiting Wings to Adventure's forum area at http://www.avweb.com/sponsors/outdoor/forums/avflash. Wouldn't it be nice if the fly-in is televised for all to see?
