Barry,
Saw 520-126 (N590W) at a fly-in in Alva, OK this weekend. Looks like
someone has put quite a bit of effort into a renovation recently. She
was sporting a nice new white/blue paint scheme (done in California
according to a sticker) and a pair of new 2-bladed props. Panel was
still very original and not much to talk about, but the airplane
appeared to be in good condition.

I have not heard from Dan yet, but I am sure that we would get the TCFG
website updated soon. It would be nice if someone could take pictures of the
events, write a narrative, and send them to me for publication.
I will contact Dan again. I just returned from the flyin and parked triple
2 (3hr, 5 minutes up, 3hr 7 minuets home). WE ALL HAD A BLAST!! Too much
to share here. I will write something for the site this week. Sorry you
could not attend, you missed a great time, huge information and we laughed till
we cried!
Dan Farmer kept us in stitches. Barry Collman was "on his game" and we
just had too much fun. The flyout to Columbia went great. Perfect weather
and the sound of all those Commanders together was truly music to our ears.
Flew a bit of formation with Bob Steele and his great looking Shrike on the
way.
We had a couple of gorgeous Turbines arrive. A brand new TCFG member,
John Kamps brought his drop dead 690A, dash 10 Renaissance and Stan Perkins
had his century powered 681 with "to die for" new paint and interior. Scooter
Patrick showed up in his 500U. John Towner found it for him and it is one
of the best around. The stand out was the polished Cleveland wheels!!! ( I
gotta do that to mine!!) Jim Kilduf brought his beautiful Shrike from the east
coast. enough for now . jb

When this aircraft was delivered to me there was no hydraulic filter (or

Everybody out there in Commanderland knows that their Commander has a filter
in the hydraulic system, right?? It should be changed every 500 hrs or so.
