--> Commander-List message posted by: "Tom Fisher" <tfisher@commandergroup.bc.ca> That is the type of answers to puzzles that currently face me. I do not have the additional data plate under the original therefore my plane is illegal, I need to get that plate on there. I am glad you refereed to the plastic air lines and the fact that those lines were part of the conversion and not some field replacement as is the case with other parts I have found on this bird. If you can believe it we found a blanked off hose on the intake manifold that was not being used anymore (pressurization?). The problem with my install is a clamp around the hose is holding the plug made out of a piece of plastic on the inside of the hose just waiting to be sucked in to the intake. I am sure the only way I am going to get my local engineers up to speed on this aircraft engine settings is to import someone to train them. --> Commander-List message posted by: BillLeff1@aol.com Since I have not seen it personally I am just guessing. But the line you are describing may be the pressurization line for the magnetos. Yes, the magnetos were pressurized on some installations. This was done to prevent arcing in the distributor block since the contacts were closer together than on a 6 cylinder mag. The pressurization for the cabin was a large line that went through the fire wall and had a electric shut off valve.. Is your aircraft a F,FP, FLP or a FL?. Was this an conversion that was done using parts from another aircraft? Also, do you have a copy of the original STC in your aircraft records? Bill Leff
