Hi Brock,
It seems to me that your serial number plate was therefore completed in error.
Serial number 1527 will definitely have been unit number 24 on a 680FLP.
Here are examples of a few 680FLP Models just before and just after your one
and -29:
1507-20 (Certified April 1965)

1527-24 (Certified July 1965)

1634-29 (Certified March 1966)

| prying the plate off with a crowbar and scanning it! I'll send you the
| pics, but they won't be very useful. Bottom line, it's just -29. I
| have extensive documentation on the airplane, and don't see any
| reference to -24.
