        You may want to talk with Auto-pilot Central in Tulsa. They have a
      complete list of auto-pilots for all aircraft. I had inquired about a
      system for my 680. Gil

      Hang a 6 to 7 foot piece of red material (like woven tie-downs) off the gust
      lock you insert through the rudder and you cant miss it in your
      pre-flight...

      Has anyone heard of the guy that just could not remember the lock, and had a
      tie down installed and attached it to an aircraft tire full of concrete, and
      still forgot and took off with the tire in tow. It sailed sort of like a
      trailer... However, this would work to remove the lock if you forgot, and
      did not attach it to the tie down :)

      Gentlemen,

      I am in the middle of an annual and would like to determine the
      availability and price the following items for various components;

      - For the nose gear retract servo;
      O-ring x 1 - 0309-026
      O-ring x 2 - 0309-114
      O-ring x 1 - 0309-216

      - Nose gear steering servo;
      O-ring x 1 - 0309-026
      O-ring x 2 - 0309-114
      O-ring x 1 - 0309-216

      - Hydraulic shut-off valve (LH nacelle);
      O-ring x 2 - 0309-216

      - Uplock activator springs;
      2713103-1 x 2

      - Wastegate assembly; 45044-29

      - I do not yet have the part numbers for the Ray Jay turbo chargers but
      would still like to know if the Inlet and Outlet hoses are available.

      My aircraft also has auxiliary nose and baggage fuel transfer tanks, I
      have not come across any STC information or drawings for this
      installation.
      Does anyone have or know where the drawings may be obtained?

      Thanks in advance.

      Tom F.

      Hi Tom,

      Commander-Aero has complete O ring kits for most actuator rebuilds. I'd give
      them a call.  888-881-5580

      Now, as to the nose and baggage fuel tanks ... Other than ferry tanks or
      field installed tanks for what we shall politely call special export/import
      flights, I've never heard of such a thing.

      Of course, this is why I hang around this list. I'm always amazed at the
      ingenuity this group has when it comes to enhancing their Commander and some of

      the mods that have ended up on them.

      Rubber chickens and the like, you know ...

      Wing Commander Gordon

        Gentlemen,

        I am in the middle of an annual and would like to determine the
      availability and price the following items for various components;

        - For the nose gear retract servo;
        O-ring x 1 - 0309-026
        O-ring x 2 - 0309-114
        O-ring x 1 - 0309-216

        - Nose gear steering servo;
        O-ring x 1 - 0309-026
        O-ring x 2 - 0309-114
        O-ring x 1 - 0309-216

        - Hydraulic shut-off valve (LH nacelle);
        O-ring x 2 - 0309-216

        - Uplock activator springs;
        2713103-1 x 2

        - Wastegate assembly; 45044-29

        - I do not yet have the part numbers for the Ray Jay turbo chargers
      but would still like to know if the Inlet and Outlet hoses are
      available.

        My aircraft also has auxiliary nose and baggage fuel transfer tanks, I
      have not come across any STC information or drawings for this
      installation.
        Does anyone have or know where the drawings may be obtained?

      Tom,
      Talk with Nick Freeman at Aero Air for the o-rings, phone is 800-448-2376.
      They will also have the uplock springs.

      The wastegates are hard to come by. If you send the unit to address below
      they will rebuild them for you.

      3450 SWETZER ROAD
      LOOMIS CA.  95650	1-916-652-6257 (Fax)

      The turbo hoses are available from:

      Firetruck Aviation	Arnold Blankenship   931-729-0007
      Talk with Charlene and she will send you a drawing with the hose P/N's then
      select the ones you need from the drawing.

      Arnold also has a collection of drawings that came from MR RPM and he may
      have what you need for the fuel tank drawings. He is very busy and it may
      take him a while to find them though.

      Thanks for all the response fellows, I will follow up on them and call those
      that suggested I call.

      I have a question for those of you that have a 680 FL(P) with the Cleveland
      brakes.
      In the wheel wells, someone has removed a section of oil breather pipe and
      replaced it with a flexable hose.
      I assume this was done because the Cleveland brakes have what I call wear
      indicators that stick out and currently partially compress the flexable
      hose. I assume that it restricts the flow a bit but not completely.
      The engineers working on the annual want to reroute the hoses but I feel
      that this might have been part of the STC for the brakes.

      Any comments?
      Is this standard on the other aircraft with this setup?

      Thanks again.

      Tom,

      I always thought the STC for Cleveland brakes included moving the breather
      pipe from the through-the-wheelwell location to the bottom of the nacelle
      and in the exhaust slipstream? This also eliminates the breather icing over,
      which IIRC happened to Larry Wokral recently, resulting in an engine
      shutdown...

      /John

      The MR RPM conversion does away with the breather in the exhaust stream and
      puts it in the cooling air outlet where the cowl flaps used to be located.
      The MR RPM drawing shows the breather in the exhaust stream removed and a
      cover installed.

          You may want to talk with Auto-pilot Central in Tulsa. They have a
      complete list of auto-pilots for all aircraft. I had inquired about a
      system for my 680. Gil

      My understanding is that if you are certified known icing the breather must
      go into the exhaust slip stream. Very effective, but the tops of your
      nacelles will always be oily.

      Again, thanks all for the inputs, need them all.
      On the subject of nacelles, has anyone laminated a (removable) thin
      stainless steel shield on the top of the nacelle just behind the exhaust
      outlets?
      Seems like an easy task and much easier to clean.

      As part of the MR RPM conversion the engine breather was certified as being
      free from ice accumulation and if the ship was certified known ice before
      the conversion was done. Then it is still certified known ice.
