Dear Listers, There are just a few more days left of this year's List Fund Raiser! Response has been very good, but we are behind last year in the number of people that have made a Contribution and as a percentage of the total number of subscribers. Please remember that there isn't any sort of commercial advertising on the Lists and the *only* means of keeping these Lists running is through your Contributions during this Fund Raiser. Please make a Contribution today! http://www.matronics.com/contribution Thank you! My 60th will not be happy for me. bilbo Bilbo; My 60th is what introduced me to my Aero Commander. It was one of the options I had to continue flying, however, now I 'get' to pay for the fuel, but I also make the schedules. So I considered my glass "half full' rather than half empty and it has been happy for me. My grandkids think its wonderful. Happy Birthday, Mason By the way, I just saw the movie "Second Hand Lions" and it is my preference for "GOING" however not for awhile, but in the movie it said they were two old 90 year olds doing accrobatics and having fun and dying with their boots on! A great movie that I would recommend, Michael Caine and Robert Devall. ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 07:31:35 PM PST US From: "Bill Bow" Subject: RE: Commander-List: Happy birthday It was an OUTSTANDING movie. bilbo _____ From: owner-commander-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-commander-list-server@matronics.com] On Behalf Of Don Girod Sent: Wednesday, November 29, 2006 10:03 PM Subject: Commander-List: Happy birthday I hope you didn't end an airline career because of your birthday. By surprise Lou emailed a couple of days ago to tell me that his circumstances have changed and has offered me first right of refusal on N711NE. He doesn't want to let it go but at the same time wants it to go to a good home. He doesn't want to sell it for a profit or even recoup what he has put into it. Lou tells me there is no corrosion...of course it isn't perfect but I guess it would fit my needs well. Jim I need to ask for your help on trying to arrive at a seasonal/fair price for it. I know that you had a bit of a look at it...Lou doesn't know what to ask for it...has (right engine) one engine on 1900hr but with good compression 78/80 all round. Lou has done a lot of work with replacinjg hydraulics upgradind to stainless steel hoses and stuff. Left hand engine has 1000hrs. Props have been overhauled and no longer have the AD requirement. Do you remember that the Troutdale one was under offer for about $90,000 at the time we looked at it...had better engine times etc...but of course we know about the wing warp and other bits. I will ring you soon to talk through were you think we should go. I just the confidenc e of offering Lou a fair price based on market knowledge.
