Barry, RE: CAW?? (I haven't seen the pic. referred to) but currently languishing in (in, not on) the grass a Moorabbin is an ex-DCA 560E, untouched for quite a while, was not in good shape after the last annual years ago (2001 ??) and I believe the owner then never found a buyer. As the rego. is painted over, I assume the registration has been cancelled, given Australia noise rules it will be very hard to re-register.Unless somebody takes pity on it, it's likely to be cut up for scrap. it had one almost zero hours engine, reasonable props, only VFR radio, and the autopilot was in a cardboard box. Thanks Bill. VH-CAW is still on the Oz register, with Mohammed Mostafa, of Rowville, Victoria. ----- Original Message ----- From: W J R HAMILTON To: commander-list@matronics.com Sent: Sunday, December 03, 2006 2:50 PM Subject: Re: Commander-List: Photos Barry, RE: CAW?? `morning Bob, Jog your memory? I had to dig up my old `dog tags' to wear to remember who I am. "My Daily Routine": I wake up(that's a good thing) make a pot of coffee(that's even better) check my `dog tags' against the `obits' in the morning paper & if my name isn't in there I check my `to do' list. After checking that I usually decide to take a nap before doing anything rash......that `to do' list just keeps growing & growing & growing. From the mid `60s to early `80s most of my flying activities centered around MDW & for many years we had a charter service & approved flight school there. This resulted in countless student dual flights to the (at that time) many airports in the Chicago area. Among the few names that still stick in my memory banks(Willy Howell sr.& jr.,Wally Sedgwick,George Priester sr.& jr.,Ester Nofke, Vic Jacobs, Monty Montgomery) Siegfried is one of them (probably a Freudian slip of some kind). I believe our common topics were Brookridge air park from dream to fruition & a shared love-hate relationship with the many variations of the Stearman. Hope this jogs the memory. Dan
