Just like to mention to the list that I am the proud new owner of AC500S
VH-EXC S/N 3251 !!
Also, does anyone know whether the new Garmin 600 system will be able to be
retrofitted to shrikes?

Congratulations, David! I'm sure you'll love your Shrike.
As far as the Garmin 600: I spoke with the Garmin folks at the AOPA
convention last month. They say the plan is for this to be *the*
aftermarket equivaloent of the G1000 OEM solution. They want it everywhere.

Welcome to the commander family.
I take it that you are in Tassie. The other Aussie flight group members are
myself and in Sydney and Russell in Darwin.
Please join the Twin Commander Flight Group as you will then have access to
a wealth of information and be part of the group that supports Twin
Commanders against the powers that be. The man to talk to is Jim Metzger at
YOURTCFG@aol.com.
As regards the Garmin 600 system. I recently tried to get one. Garmin are
only supplying from the middle of next year and the price is about USD 29
000. They apparently have a large number of aircraft that can be retrofitted
but are unable to tell me if any TCs are on their list. I would wait a while
and see how good or bad they are once they come out.

Hello,
I was wondering if I could get some help here.
I'm in need of prop overhaul due to calendar, not hrs.
I hear there is a propeller upgrade I can get on the plane but have not been
able to get such information. These new props don't have the messy ad of
downtime every 250 hrs.
I would appreciate if anyone could help me in this matter since it's the
first time I deal with such an issue.
Any recommendations for the Fla. or Opa Locka area?
Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I've never seen it fly but I've seen pictures. If I remember correctly, it's
called a crie-crie or something to that effect in French.
